John D. MacArthur Beach State Park offers a secluded, quiet spot for swimming on a barrier island adjacent to Lake Worth Cove. Along with the nature trails and boardwalk that makes a great spot for wildlife viewing, the park offers summer tours of the many sea turtle nests that tend to pop up along the beach each year. A small amphitheater sits on the premises, as do a few picnic pavilions which are available for rental. The amphitheater can also be rented out for weddings or other special events.
