long lines and very crowded, particularly in the first gallery or two. Be forewarned if you don't like tights dark spaces with too many people in them. Actually the exhibit of the 1970's was much better, if smaller. The new exhibit does not contain the famous death mask or any of the coffin covers

Very disappointing to travel so far to a crowded, stuffy, poorly lit and planned exhibit. The items themselves are beautiful and amazing, and they deserve to be displayed in a manner that allows viewers to read, listen and learn about them.

I will be seeing this exhibit on Sunday, but I have to wonder about all of the people expecting to see the actual mummy and mask. Am I the only one who has ever seen a Tut special or looked at any of the thousands of articles on the topic, they are in Egypt, every special and article will tell you they are in Egypt. Do your research next time so that you have an understanding of what you are viewing. If you only want to see shiny things, go to Vegas!!

I went to see the exhibit at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday 12/28. We arrived at 6:00 and actually entered the museum at 7:45! Totally outrageous and unacceptable. Everyone in line was disgusted and upset. Once inside the various rooms were so overcrowded, in some instances 4 deep with people, that we rushed through and could not wait to leave. In addition, there were only small and in most cases repetative artificacts with most of the larger and more popular items left back in Cairo!

I was very disappointed in three ways. The first was the long wait. Is it a local logistical miscalculation or did they have the same problems in Los Angeles? The second is that the layout of the exhibit has no logical flow pattern within each room. The overcrowded rooms are extremely difficult to navigate. The third and greatest disappointment was the missing Golden Mask.

This is a good show, but not what the hype makes it out to be. The ticket prices are not justified. Overall I was very pleased with the exhibit, most of it was very fascinating. But the two glaring things that are missing are the Tut Funeral Mask, and the famous coffin, all of which are used to promote the event... NOT THERE. There is a small coffinete the size of a 20 ounce bottle of Coke that held Tut's Liver. The gift shop had some of the most tastless items I have ever come across.
