Hollywood's public beach runs parallel to the city's famous Broadwalk, which is full of shops and restaurants to check out before, during or after you dip your toes in the sand. The city puts on a number of annual events on the beach, including the popular Hollywood Beach Latin Festival. The beach's bandshell holds regularly scheduled concerts, and picnic pavilions, playgrounds and restroom facilities make it easy to bring little ones. There's a 60-foot observation tower at the corner of Sheridan Street and A1A that offers great views of the entire beach area.
