Simply the best in all of South Florida! If you're in doubt, don't be, just go and you'll see what all the hype is about... Make sure to reserve early cause it's booked about a year in advanced. The beachfront campgrounds are just the best.

It was so beautiful! The water was very clear and going snorkling was a blast! I would definitely do it again!

This park is simply amazing. One must remember that it is a state park and not a ocean side resort. No bugs in March. Snorkeling off the beach was great. The water was warm in March, we saw some fish and one giant stone crab. Wish there had been more sea life to see. Kids rented kayaks which were very reasonable and had a great time. Would love to camp here, but reservations disappear a year in advance so they are very hard to get. Will definitely visit again.

If you are thinking of going be sure to get a map of the island indicating the camping sites. The eastern tent sites are gorgeous and a few steps from the beach. The southern section of the park (where you have views of the old and new bridges) is not nearly as beautiful. Be sure to reserve your site several weeks in advance!

We went in an rv over the summer.. lots of bugs beware- spots for campers are small but tent camping looked awesome if you had a spot overlooking ocean. Snorkling was great, but way too much seaweed. needs to be cleaned up. If you bring the kids, bring the bikes.. if you go, you will have a relaxing time, bring the gear!

We love Bahia Honda for our family. It is great for finding hermit crabs and other sea life. The sunsets are amazing to watch up on the old bridge.

Horrible...the no-see-ums almost carried us away. Plus bridge construction began in the wee hours of the morning with jack hammers, pounders, and drills. So much for a nice, peaceful time by the water. We left after one night we were so miserable.

This is an incredible beach! If you take advantage of the watersports it makes it great! You are also only 40 min. from Key West if you get bored..
