Everybody's got a gimmick and at Brooklyn Water Bagel, it's — you got it —water. The restaurants use a proprietary water treatment system that turns ordinary water into Brooklynized water. According to the company, it replicates the composition of the water that flows from the Catskills Mountains in upstate New York into the homes of Brooklynites. The bagels are prepared the old-fashioned way — boiled and baked — and result in bagel that’s crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. In the morning, those bagels are filled with omelets to which guests add cheese, meat or veggies. Later, bagels are filled with ham and cheese, whitefish salad, grilled chicken or roast beef. The list goes on.
