The Vilariño family opened the first Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine restaurant in Hollywood in 1984, only four years after they arrived in Florida with the Mariel Boatlift. Today, Las Vegas has become an established local chain with more than a dozen locations in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. The menu features many popular Cuban entrees, such as ropa vieja, vaca frita and arroz con pollo, as well as snacks, including empanadas, croquetas and tostones.
