Chef-owner Michael Tatton carries on the tradition he started with his father in 1989, at a restaurant that is more than simply a Thai place. Thai Spice also has steaks, chops and seafood, along with a full bar. Locals still flock, so reservations are suggested. Pad thai is the most popular dish, and you can have it with shrimp, lobster, beef, chicken or pork. The eatery also has other traditional Thai soups, appetizers and entrees. Happy hour, with half-off appetizers and drinks, runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
