Dan Le Batard, host of 790 the Ticket's Dan Le Batard Show: "I'm always looking for a decisive moment. For me, it had to be when coach Saban threw out the challenge flag in the Pittsburgh game. The trajectory and force of it, the way it hit the ref directly in the heart. You would have sworn it was shot out of a bow, and I'm still not sure it wasn't. Good Lord, is there a more indefatigable coach than Nick Saban in any sport on the planet?"
Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor: "I'd have to say Trick Daddy's speech at halftime when we were down during the Jacksonville game. I mean, the guy's always on the fringes, hangin' around, giving us advice. … Some guys even call him Coach Daddy. But this time, he really came to the forefront. You know, Trick's a poet, so I wouldn't even begin to try and paraphrase him, but he basically told us to go out there and beat those motherfuckers down. And that's exactly what we did."
Sportscaster John Madden: "The trio of quarterbacks all sharing the bill to perfection. They're like the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. I'm not kidding. I wouldn't bet against any one of them if they chucked up a Hail Mary pass. I'm not kidding. On Madden 2008, we're going to have some fun with that bunch. Oh, yeah."
Miami Dolphins safety Yeremiah Bell: "The day the Taco Bell got us. On the one hand, it's unfortunate because you're surrounded by 250-pound men suffering from diarrhea for 72 hours straight. But the thing is, once you've faced that kind of adversity -- that much diarrhea erupting all around you -- it's like going to war with your guys. We weren't even a football team that day. We kidded that it was exploding diarrhea vs. New England's zone defense. Diarrhea won."
Rookie Miami Dolphins wide receiver Marcus Vick: "It had to be when Coach rented out the entire Muvico theater in Davie for us to see Little Miss Sunshine. From that day on, we became that VW bus, pushing and pushing and going forward no matter what obstacles were in front of us. Plus, we like to do that 'Superfreak' dance."
Veteran Miami Dolphins kicker Olindo Mare: "It was so wrong, but the defining moment was when we were up by 27 over Buffalo, it was third and goal, and coach sent in both Sammy Morris and Ronnie Brown. I will never forget that moment. Everyone is wondering who's going to get the ball -- Brown or Morris -- and it goes to Sammy and you go, 'Of course.' And then, Ronnie picks up Sammy with the football and tucks him under his arm and storms across the goal line. First, it's, 'Oh my God,' and then, it's, 'That kind of stunt is so degrading to the other team.' But hell, those guys deserve to have a little fun."
