Had some dates from hell? You’re not alone. Read this story to feel a little better about your own sucky dating life. by Colleen Dougher We all know how awful dating can be, yet we keep right on doing it. Why? Because we have a glimmer of hope that the next time we agree to go to the movies, have dinner or hit a nightclub with someone, that person will turn out to be The One. Most women don’t imagine that a guy will forget his wallet, discuss his intestinal gas or bring his neighbor — or worse yet, his mother — along on a date. Fewer women would envision a night ending with their date falling asleep in his French toast at IHOP, either. Men, on the other hand, don’t want to go out with a woman who spends the entire night chatting with her friends on her cell phone, recalling her life at a nudist camp or ordering one of everything from a movie theater’s snack bar. Surely, no guy anticipates riding home with his date and her boyfriend. Yet people experience such dates, and the only things that make them worthwhile are the horror stories such as the ones we’ve compiled here. Copyright © 2008, South Florida Sun-Sentinel |
