Pitbull's self-described "hustler blood" has not failed him over the past year. From appearing at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards to filling the airwaves with his contagious ode to the butt ("Culo") to performing on the recent Anger Management Tour with Eminem and 50 Cent, Pitbull represents Miami like no other rapper. His 2004 debut CD on TVT Records, M.I.A.M.I. (Money Is a Major Issue), has gone gold, and he recently teamed with Diddy to launch the Bad Boy Latino label. But nothing exemplifies the power of Pitbull more than an incident last spring in which three students at Miami Springs High School were suspended after school officials accused them of flashing gang signals in a yearbook photo. The students claimed they were just Pitbull fans and were flashing the 305 sign. Pitbull, of course, came forward to back them up and set the record straight.
