TheHoneyComb.com
Underground bands looking to promote their shows and CDs have just such an outlet in
TheHoneyComb.com, which was founded in 1998 by concert promoter Steve Rullman. His initial mission was to expose indie groups working outside the mainstream, and he does just that with thoroughly informed listings of national and local acts performing in South Florida. He books the shows at Respectable Street and other clubs owned by Rodney Mayo, but his loyalties don't keep him from cataloging every venue that has an artist worth seeing, be it a record store in Miami or a church in West Palm Beach. TheHoneyComb also streams tunes through its White Room Records jukebox, which has an eclectic playlist that includes Broken Social Scene, Death Cab for Cutie and eternal rebel Johnny Cash.
