After being tossed out of the Melbourne Ramada Inn for reasons that were never properly explained, Dik Shuttle and the boys headed south, and we are better for it. Picture a cheesy lounge act, the sort that plays covers of Tom Jones tunes in some nameless bar somewhere in Las Vegas. Now, imagine that band doing loungy covers of punk-rock and indie songs. Amp up the cheesy singer about a thousand times and put a blue Hawaiian in his hand and maybe a lei around his neck. You now have some idea of Shuttlelounge. The band plays fairly infrequently, so if you happen to hear of a show, check it out. It'll be worth your while.
