Located in an area in which ethnic restaurants outnumber fast-food joints three to one, Don Ramon's offers all the ingredients for a memorable dining experience: a strong ambiance, attentive service and great food. Tropical foliage prevents sunlight from penetrating the glass wall of the dark, moody dining room. Standout entrées include slow-cooked, savory pulled pork and chicken chunks, seasoned to perfection and fried to a golden brown. All entrées are served with the best black beans and rice this side of Havana, as well as some fantastic fried plantains. Top off the meal with a cup of strong Cuban coffee and a serving of sweet tres leches. You won't regret it.
