Best Seafood Restaurant

Islamorada Fish Company
200 Gulf Stream Way, Dania Beach, 954/927-7737, www.islamoradafishco.com

The original, 100-seat Islamorada Fish Company, in the heart of the Florida Keys, has been earning its reputation for great atmosphere and fresh seafood since 1948. The Dania restaurant, which opened in 1999, follows suit, offering every kind of seafood under the sun as well as Bimini bread, Key lime pie, sushi and even some landlubber specials. With the exception of the $26.95 surf-and-turf combination, most menu items cost less than $20. Despite the restaurant's 450-person capacity, there's sometimes a wait, so be prepared to meander through the adjoining Bass Pro Shops, check out the fish market or enjoy a drink at the bar. Reservations are not an option here. Since the restaurant is located in Outdoor World, next door to the International Game Fishing Museum and Hall of Fame, an angler could make an entire day trip out of a visit here.
