Before they'd even opened, the owners of Lake Avenue Chocolates hung scintillating movie posters of films such as Chocolat in the front windows to tempt passers-by. It worked, and they've delivered the goods. Operating out of a renovated 1912 building in the heart of downtown Lake Worth, they've taken their stock and trade of truffles and chocolate-covered strawberries and evolved into a quaint dessert bar with beer, wine and the occasional live music act. If that's not enough to tempt you, just try to resist the gelato.
