Dan Le Batard
Sports Talk 790 The Ticket (790-AM), www.790theticket.com

Miami Herald columnist Dan Le Batard is certainly one of the most gifted sports writers in the country, but he's one lousy talk show host. This is a good thing because he knows it and is constantly trying to get around it by cleverly admitting how much he sucks. He's always the first to point out his flaws, such as slipping into gangsta speak and going all "playa hata" during an interview with Trick Daddy. When he had O.J. Simpson on the show, Le Batard said, "When something big goes down, we're on top of it -- 11 years later." A more apt description of the show is, "If life doesn't stink enough, try us." Still, Le Batard's cachet as a respected journalist gives him the opportunity to ask top athletes the stupidest questions imaginable. Now that we think of it, his clumsy foray into the genre is refreshing. After all, what other local sports-talk host would even interview Trick Daddy?
