As a music engineer and producer, Brimstone127 is dedicated to increasing awareness about South Florida's homegrown hip-hop. But as a performer, he delivers what he calls a "hip-hop circus," which often translates to an impromptu jam session that can include anyone from beatbox master Jase to the improvisational beatmaker Name Brand. (See Best Beatmaker.) Above all, Brimstone127 says his most important job is to spread the gospel of hip-hop. "It's not just about the music but the culture," he explains. "Hip-hop has the power to pull people together." Brimstone127 regularly performs at nightclubs in Miami and Fort Lauderdale and hosts the Bridging the Gap b-boy event at Miami Beach's 21st Street Rec Center the fourth Friday of every month. Check out his MySpace page, Myspace.com/brimstone127online, for a performance schedule.
