Guajiro wins this category because of the decidedly South Floridian spin it gives an often cookie-cutter genre. With Latin flair, Spanish lyrics and balls-to-the-wall, fist-pumping music, bandmates Willy Lopez, David Santos, Jorges Gonzalez and Douglas MacKinnon offer a revised edition of punk rock. Their version combines traditional punk with a Latin pulse to produce a sound that could have originated nowhere else.
