This club's name means "today is like yesterday," and this popular Little Havana hangout on the famed Calle Ocho celebrates the music and culture of Old Cuba with a modern touch. Every Wednesday through Sunday, patrons can stop in for live Afro-Cuban roots music and all-night dancing, with Thursdays featuring The Spam Allstars, whose upbeat roots sound and electric stage presence have made them a local favorite. Of course, the bar at Hoy Como Ayer makes the best damn Cuba libre this side of Guantánamo Bay. Doors open
Wednesdays through Sundays at 9 p.m., and the cover is $7, though ladies get free admission until 11:30.
