Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival

This annual festival attracts locals, tourists, movie stars and filmmakers alike. Prominent visitors have included director Gregg Araki (Mysterious Skin), playwright Craig Lucas (Prelude to a Kiss) and British actress Rachel Stirling (Tipping the Velvet). In addition to providing an opportunity to see rare films, the festival offers attendees some of the best parties of the year, including a posh rooftop soiree at the Bank of America Tower and an interactive performance-art display at the Hotel Nash. Next year's festival will take place from April 27 to May 6.
