Best Convenience-Store Sub

My Market and Deli
229 S.W. 17th St., Fort Lauderdale, 954/764-5253
With everything from a decent wine collection to $3.99 T-shirts, this spot feels more like a general store than a convenience store. But when you walk back to the deli, where a huge boar's head protrudes from one wall, don't wonder why a dozen people are sitting at two large tables. It's the subs. While we're partial to the Italian combo, the elements that make all My Market subs outstanding are the same: incredibly fresh rolls and just the right amount of Boar's Head meat. My Market lives up to its name by consistently meeting customers' needs. This is usually the only place in the neighborhood where you can get a post-hurricane cup of coffee. For your pre-hurricane needs, this store sells kegs.
