In certain countries, tradition dictates that some dishes are so steamy and good a diner must eat them from under a blanket to experience them completely. The Vietnamese beef soup at Pho Nam Do is in that league. It's the kind of soup you just want to hunker down with, letting the fumes and spices seep into every pore and orifice. Well, maybe orifice isn't the right word, but once you dump a plateful of cilantro, bean sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeño peppers into the hot bowl of rice noodles and rare beef, you'll never want to come up for air. Note: Bring your own blankie.
