Red Reef Park Executive Golf Course
1221 N. Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton, 561/391-5014, Ci.boca-raton.fl.us/parks

The word executive is used loosely in the name of this city-owned, nine-hole course, where the list of "amenities" includes vending machines, electric cart rentals and restrooms along the links. Still, while certain country clubs may offer platinum-club memberships with private cigar rooms for their CEO clientele, none can offer a better location for the money than Red Reef Park. Wedged into a sunny sliver of greenery between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, Red Reef makes chasing a little white ball as casual as the breeze blowing off the beach. The longest hole is the par-4, 227-yard ninth, and the biggest sand-and-water hazard golfers face is the distraction of looking east toward the beach. Greens fees begin at $8.50 for Boca residents and $10.50 for nonresidents.
