The hottest ticket in South Florida sports this year won't involve the Dolphins, Hurricanes or Heat, and certainly not the Marlins or Panthers. Except for the Heat, this contest wasn't even close. Instead, the honor goes to the Ford 400 NASCAR race, which on Nov. 19 will again determine which driver lifts the 2006 Nextel championship trophy under a spray of cheap sparkling wine and with a blonde on each arm. In early August, the NASCAR season finale achieved what was thought to be impossible in these parts by rousing notoriously apathetic South Florida sports fans to buy more than 65,000 seats months in advance. Elsewhere on Nov. 19, the Dolphins will be at home playing the Minnesota Vikings. Tickets for that may still be available for those people who aren't planning to watch the race on television.
