Drinking and airing dirty laundry often go hand in hand. Laundry Bar facilitates the joining of these two pastimes by putting washing machines and dryers smack-dab in the middle of a South Beach bar. The mostly gay but straight-friendly venue also features a pool table, several televisions, live music and strong drinks. The washing machines are available for use at 7 a.m., and the bar begins serving drinks at noon, allowing customers to start their day off doing chores, lose track at about lunchtime and end up at home later that night wondering what the hell happened to all their socks. Laundry Bar also presents a rotating roster of resident DJs, including DJ Wreck, Scully Burn, Chappy Dee and Karakter. From 4 to 9 p.m. daily, the bar offers two-for-one drink specials, and it never charges a cover.
