Despite the fact that the 'Bong decided to stop serving Hoegaarden -- as delicious a brew as has ever been made -- on tap, we still have to give the place credit for its beer -- sweet, delicious, life-giving beer. If it's true what Homer Simpson said, that beer is "the cause and solution to all the world's problems," then surely the Billabong Pub will be the starting point for either World War III or worldwide peace. Couple the beer selection with a great lineup of local bands, and the Billabong Pub stands creamy, foamy head and shoulders above the competition. Besides, it recently started serving Hoegaarden by the bottle, so all is not lost.
