Sunrise Cinemas’ Gateway recently made the homepage of Michael Moore’s
Web site when crowds wrapped around the block to see
Fahrenheit 9/11. Some
of those crowds were probably hungry and had many options from which to choose,
since the old reliable Gateway is a long-standing great location for dinner and
a movie. Just west of the theater is the Tex-Mex styling of Canyon and the dependably
good Italian cuisine of Il Mulino. Further east, within the Gateway Shopping Center,
are the Spanish-American Tipico Café, Sukhothai, Heart Rock Japanese Grill,
and if the movie put you in a mood for a fast getaway, there’s also Subway,
Big Louie Italian Pizzeria and Monster Subs. If you can’t find a suitable
meal here within walking distance, then you’re far too fussy.
