With its location as a sort of gateway to the Pompano Beach Pier, it’s hard
to miss Fisherman’s Wharf. And while a desire to get out on the pier or the
beach might draw you through the place, the scrumtrulescent (is too a word) coconut
shrimp and rumrunners will keep you sitting at the Wharf for hours at a time until,
shocked that your day at the beach turned into a day at the bar, you’ll wander
home to try again another time. The Wharf’s Web site may be voyaging into
the Land of Hyperbole when it refers to the place as “South Florida’s
Finest Dining Experience,” but there’s no denying the Wharf’s position
as a perfect beachside bar.
