Benny's has a nice little dining area that extends out on the Lake Worth
Pier, but the separate open-air bar out front is more of a corral than a bar.
And that’s what makes it so perfect. Directly streetside, with a huge public
parking lot across the way, Benny’s is the only true watering hole at Lake
Worth beach. The nightly scent is more bait and Coppertone than Angel and Candies,
and bathing suits are the norm any time of day. That means cutoffs for the men
and bandanna thongs for the women. It gets so crowded at happy hour that the experience
is similar to participating in an orgy with draft beer. After getting sufficiently
sandy, step back onto the sidewalk and take a beachside shower at the public facilities.
