After a conscious effort to bring in some big names from outside the jam-band
world that defined the first Langerado Music Festival, this year’s Langerado
proved even better than the first. With Cake and Cracker on the lineup, as well
as a variety of electronica, roots, funk and reggae acts, Langeradans — Langeradites?
Langeradians? — got their money’s worth. Promoter Ethan Schwartz of
South Florida Jams promises that the next incarnation of Langerado, set to take
place March 12 and 13 at a large park in western Broward, will be “even bigger
and better.” With a larger venue and a two-day lineup, we can only assume
Schwartz is on the money.
