Yeah, we’re patting ourselves on the back here, but come on; it’s not
as if anyone else has been dedicated — or foolish — enough to step up
and produce a single-night, multiband local-music event such as this one. And
we’ve been doing it for 12 years now. OK, enough about us. As much as it
is a vehicle to promote our humble little magazine, the
City Link Music
Fest is really about those South Florida acts we feel don’t get the attention
they deserve the other 364 nights of the year. And there are many of them —
so many, in fact, that we hardly have room for them all in the all-night event.
The Music Fest returns to downtown Hollywood Saturday, Nov. 13. Expect the usual
array of rock, punk, hip-hop and less-categorical forms of music. And as usual,
expect it to totally rule.
