Best Place To Dive Without A Boat

The Delray Wreck
Ocean Boulevard two blocks south of Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach

Everyone knows South Florida is a diving haven. But let’s face it, preparing for a dive is a great big pain in the ass. That’s what makes the Delray Wreck such an experience. Just don your gear and wade into the ocean — the 101-year-old S.S. Inchulva is only a few yards away. This shallow dive is a favorite for snorkelers, too. The 4,800-ton vessel fell victim to a vicious storm, and now, the watery grave is a favorite spot for tarpon, puffer fish, parrotfish and lobsters.
