OK, its probably one of the most expensive beach parks in South Florida,
but that high cost is what will guarantee your solitude and breathing room at
this well-planned facility. The park is open only from 8 a.m. to sundown seven
days a week, and it costs $16 per car during the week and $18 on weekends. (See,
we said it was high.) But when you walk through the tunnels to reach the exceptionally
clean beach, its like having your own private cabana on the water. On
the Intracoastal side, the park has tons of picnic tables, grills, bathrooms
and changing rooms. Groups can rent picnic shelters. Fishing is allowed on the
Intracoastal and beach sides, but pets arent. Lifeguards are there during
the daylight hours. Its a lavish way to go to the beach, but what a way
to suntan.
