You don’t have to go to the Bahamas to ride a horse in the surf. On South Hutchinson Island in Port St. Lucie County, you can gallop or, at the very least trot, through the sea foam and along the shoreline nature trails. Both experienced riders and novices are welcome and a guide will cater the outing to your riding level. You can set up your own group ride if you have enough people or take part in the regular Sunday excursions. The horses will meet you at the beach. Reservations must be made in advance.
