Free iced coffee at Florida Dunkin' Donuts today

Get a free small iced coffee at Dunkin' Donuts on Monday, Dec. 4.

The chain is offering Florida residents the freebie as a thank you to customers after hurricane season, which forced many restaurants throughout the state to close or alter operating hours.

No coupon is necessary but hours and participation may vary by location.

Hurricane Irma made its first U.S. landfall as a category 4 storm on Cudjoe Key on Sept. 10, later striking Naples. The storm left millions of Floridians without power for weeks. Ultimately, more than 130 people died in the storm's wake.

Hurricane season ended on Nov. 30.

"With many of the Dunkin' Donuts restaurants located in areas that experienced power outages, flooding and damage, it was a main priority for each location to work swiftly to cleanup and reopen its doors,"  said Melissa Goulette, Field Marketing Manager, Dunkin' Brands, Inc, in a news release.

"We are very thankful to Florida residents for being understanding as we worked to get our locations back up and running following the hurricane season, and we are glad that we are able to show our appreciation by offering a free beverage."
