New chef-owners from Italy arrived in January 2007 and have turned Serafina around. Romantic outdoor terrace over-looking the Middle River is a bonus. Specials like lobster ravioli will turn you into a regular.

This restaurant used to be so charming w/ wonderful homemade pasta dishes - but they've changed ownership, and have gone downhill fast. Now, they overbook the outdoor dining, and offer a misleading menu. I would not recommend eating here unless you want to drastically overpay for below average food and poor service in an overly crowded atmosphere that lacks any sense of charm.

Fort Lauderdale,
The setting is great, especially if you're outside by the water - inside is hot and cramped. Food is 'o.k.' but not up to the setting. Its seems they are trying to be upscale Italian. Problem is they miss the mark - the food is neither upscale nor good hearty 'down home,' its average. Not bad, just could be much better. Overall, I will go again and will enjoy the meal. My guess is the new owners are still refining the joint...worth a second chance.

I had the best seared tuna ever and I'm an expert. The owners were friendly and professional. The outside seating and service were top notch. I was very impressed and will be back the minute I get back to Ft. Lauderdale.

This is a darling restaurant with great service and even better food. Since the new owner took over the food is more of a traditional italian restaurant. The atmosphere is romantic and relaxing. Perfect little place for a dinner with someone special or friends. One of my favorite places!!

Please be aware that sometime around January this charming jewel was bought by a new owner. To say that it is not the same would be a grave understatement. If I told you how awful the staff (and the new clientele) is, you simply would not believe me.

No wonder Serafina was named the best new restaurant in Ft Lauderdale over the past year. The food is incredible. There is literally nothing quite like it in southern Florida which suffers from mediocre food served in large portions, as though that would make up for the poor quality. This is really special--the best of NY and Boston in a warm, relaxing environment with a water view. Wow!

The ingredients are seasonal, fresh, and mostly organic. The dishes are imaginative, colorful, and delicious. Shari's enthusiasm enfuses the warm, delightful atmosphere. This is simply the best food I've eaten in Fort Lauderdale.

Lovely water views, friendly staff, and perfectly prepared food make Serafina a truly special dining experience. After you are wooed by the ambiance, the dishes are the main attraction. I love the Campari Spritzer beverage that is unique to Serafina. The pizzas make a fantastic starter. Their salad has to be the most delicious and unique around, and the main entree that I had ordered ( snapper with white wine/butter sauce over pasta ) was divine.
