We went for a Friday evening to this amazing little cafe and were overwhelmed by the tremendous flavors of Greece, immaculate atmosphere and romantic ambiance. We felt like we'd traveled to a faraway land and experienced the real thing. To our surprise a dancer came out 1/2 way thru the meal and entertained us for quite a while. We will definitely go back and take friends and family for a great evening out.

Many Greek restaurants, sad to say, resort to serving commercial grade dishes, which come from who knows where, frozen or in a can. Not Christina's Cafe in Pompano Beach. Coming from Greece, I can attest this gem of a taverna surpasses in quality and taste all other Greek restaurants in South Florida. The secret: most everything is homemade by proprietor Christina, including the bread. Don't leave without tasting her own galaktobouriko (custard pie) for dessert. It's Olympic gold.

The owner/chef is the former chef of Taverna Opa.They offer early bird(cash only),plus lunch and dinner. The decor is attractive and spotless and all their food is made from scratch! The Greek salad, Avgolemono soup, and stuffed peppers were wonderful! And the dessert I had-galaktoburiko(custard pie in phylo topped with honey) was over the top! I will definitely return to this gem! Jean B.
