I recently checked out this restaurant having heard talk of it. Where do I begin? It looks like a diner, it is way overpriced for the quality and level of cooking and it wreaks of mediocrity. This place is appaling. Our fish was overcooked and dry. Our beef ribs were served without mashed potatoes-they were out of these- and the dessert platter was disa gooey mess that had been sitting out for hours at room temperature. This restaurant is a Triple-O: Overrated, Overpriced and so Over!

My favourite restaurant in the world. Cozy, with a superb wine list. The food is just so fresh and delicious, I enjoy every single bite. The staff is so atentive, everyone truthfully smile at you, they show how they love working there. Besides of course, have to mention Carlos, the chef, the sweetest thing, a genius. I always feel like a star!!!! Highly highly recommended!

LOVE the Hi-Life Cafe!!! I have been there many times and will go back many more. This place is quaint and romantic. The food is delicious and creative. The service excellent...very attentive and friendly. A must try!!! :o)

Great intimate restaurant with exceptionally friendly staff/service. One of those places where you look forward to coming back before you ever leave! The entrees are creative without being "fussy" and the specials are always tempting.

It was a romantic meal for my husband and I .The food was fantastic and the service was superb. Our server Robyn was a gem. Overall our first time experience was fantastic!! We most certaintly will recommend this restaurant to others and we will be back!!

This place is great! After many recommendations, I took my husband here for his birthday and we were very pleased. The food is phenomenal and I highly recommend the butterfish. The goat cheese salad is quite good also and you have to try the chocolate coca cola cake - yum! It's a very small place and it was quite busy, but we were nestled in our own little corner and our server was quite attentive and never left us waiting. Great wine list too!

This restaurant is a gem. To start, the staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Quite clearly, they enjoy working there and we enjoyed eating in this environment. The food is creative, fresh, delicious and the portions quite generous-you can spend a lot more in Ft Lauderdale on a lot less ! We had the apple stuffed chicken and the tuna steak special - they were both perfect. The desserts - key lime pie and coconunt orange chess pie - were great. GREAT - we will be back!

We were there for dinner last friday and I have to say it was one of the best dinners we've had in a long while. This is one of our new favorites now. Everything was terrific about it. The restaurant was very cozy and romantic. The service was great and the food was amazing. I had the braised short ribs that I can't wait to have again. My husband had the chicken fried chicken which he also enjoyed. They have a very nice wine selection and the price is unbelievable. Highly recommend.
