My waitress was the best Jessica Peck made our time fun and pleasurable, fast attentive service, she is great! The bbq allways excellent and a great value I would recomend this restaurant to all who love ribs and a bbq style downhome atmosphere. A great family place also great root beer.

We started eating at Shorty's in Miami in the 1950's. Since moving to Hollywood several years ago we have eaten at their Davie location often. The food, atmosphere & service is still great. I enjoy the ribs, chicken and sandwiches. The corn & slaw are delicious. The discount coupons in local newspapers make the price just right. Highly recommended.

Hate the Bar-b-que sauce!!! French fries were great!!my husband ribs where ok but he said he had better but overall we won't return

I've traveled all throughout the South for years, and am a huge fan of BBQ. This place is honestly the worst that I have ever had. Truely disappointing food. It looked and tasted like it'd been under a heat lamp for hours. Steer clear, there is much better in Broward County.

I read the 3 star review in the Sun-Sentinel, so we figured we'd give it a try. I used to live in Texas so I expect a lot when it comes to bbq. Good atmosphere, mediocre food. It has nothing on Texas bbq. The chicken was very good, but the pork and beef were like something you get slices of a Publix deli and then heat up in the microwave--hardly barbeque at all.

I have been eating at Shorty's for over 30 years (starting with the one in Miami and now going to the one in Davie). Best bang for your buck on Friday nights they have a family special that will feed a family of 4 for about what you would pay at fast food. The food is delish and they have a secret sauce no one has duplicated. Try it once and you will return again and again!!!!

Go to Shorty's for their brisket plate and choice of two sauces that accompany. Corn on the cob is delicious, dripping in butter. Banana cream pie, is just that- sliced bananas and fresh whipped cream in a crust, and it's fabulous. Don't pass up on the sweet tea!
