The post below me is ridiculous. I can't imagine a manager EVER saying that at any restaurant, even one as casual as this. I live in Victoria Park so I walk to S&D all the time and I love it! If it's busy, the service can be slow, but everyone's always friendly. And of course the food is incredible. After a bad day at work, nothing is better than a cold Purple Haze and a Black N Blues burger. Love this place!

The food is good, but not good enough to make up for the VERY POOR SERVICE. There were no apologies, not even from the manager who said it was an off night probably because everyone was hung over! She said she sent our first rude waiter home with a headache but we saw him soon after that tending bar! Unbelievable!! Never going back.

Probably the best restaurant in South Florida...When I lived in Fort Lauderdale which was until just recently I would frequent this place 2 times a week. When Crawfish season is in...wow...they have the best burgers in town...pretty much everything on the menu is great and the atmosphere is good as well. they even have good beer (Abita). Please open one in Tampa!!!

Being a huge LSU tiger fan, S&D is of course one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Lauderdale. It's my home away from home (Baton Rouge, LA). It's great to enjoy the familiarity of that true southern hospitality. The black and blue oysters and crawfish boudin are a must. It's the best place to watch an LSU game. You know I have to say it....GEAUX TIGERS!!!

This has to be one of the best restaurants in town! The food is great...much like the cuisine back home in Jackson, MS and in Baton Rouge where I went to college. The atmosphere is GREAT, especially for LSU fans!!! It's like home away from home...when I miss Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Mississippi, I come here to get that good ol' warm feeling that you can't get anywhere else in South Florida!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!

Being an LSU alumni, I have to say this place is great! Cold Abita beers on tap and the spicy sausage po boy is almost as hot as Jen the waitress! Great neighborhood feel too. Geaux TIGERS!!!

I don't know what Micheal from Ft Lauderdale is talking about. Shuck N Dive is one of the best in town and that's exactly why they are ALWAYS busy!

The only person who likes to eat here anymore is my pre-teen son because he can see "boobies" in the restroom. I think it is very unethical for the owners to have those Mardi Gras photos on display where children can see them. Between the poor service, small portions, and porn in the men's room...this place has been crossed off our list permanently!

I go here around twice a month. The blackened anything is good here. If you still have room definitely have the bread pudding. It has to be the best that I have ever tasted.

I cant believe the 4 star reviews of this place. First of all, you will sit for at least 30 minutes before a waiter comes to take your order. Their shrimp po boy is just a piece of bread with a few fried shrimp thrown on top. No taste at all. I have had better ones at cheesecake factory when they had them on the menu. Kind of sad for a louisiana cajun style place.
