What an awesome restaurant! The food was great, especially the pork strogonoff with spetzle. The service could not be better and they had a great selection of German beer which my husband loved. I will definately be back - I'm just surprised it is not always packed especially for the price.

What a great find! I was told by a friend to check this German restaurant out - and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere makes you feel like you truely are in Munich. They have a great selection of German beer and a wide variety on the menu. We had to the 2lb. Pork Shank, which was incredible and the Veal Schnitzel was huge. This is now my new favorite restaurant thanks to the great food and friendly service. They even gave us a 2-1 schnitzel coupon for our next visit. WHat a great find!

Great food for a great price. You will not leave unhappy, the owners were great and came around to each table to make us all feel welcome. I would really recommend this place to anyone in the area!!!

This was the first time I visited Checkers Old-Munchen and it was great. The staff was very friendly and and atmosphere was great. We had the veal schnitzel and the two pound pork shank - both were great. They serve large portions and the red cabbage is the best I have had. Plus they have a wide variety of imported German beers I can't find anywhere else. It was a great experience - and they gave me a coupon for 2-for-1 schnitels. Like Arnold says - I'll be baaaack!

I finally made my way to Checkers Old-Munchen and boy, was it worth it! This small, quaint German restaurant has a great atmoshpere and excellent cuisine. They have a large selection of German beers from Erdinger to Warsteiner to Bitburger. We had the veal shnitzel and the 2lb. pork shank and they were very tasty. And the Apple Strudel is out of this world. Lastly, the service was friendly and they were very helpful describing all the different dishes. What a nice surprise!!!

Friendliest restaurant we have ever eaten at. The guests at other tables introduced themselves, offered advice regarding the food and life, and offered to share their dessert!! The food and service were good. We shared a pork shank, and had red cabbage and spaetzle. The food was awesome. German beer came in very tall glasses, very cold and very good. We shared apple struedel for dessert, which was very good, as was the coffee. All in all a very pleasant experience and a very good value.

Went for the Oktoberfest meal with friends and loved it! Try the weiss beer and the pork shank--so good! Side dishes were great and the service was just right. I look forward to going back.

We had a party of 4 - service was excellent, food was perfect, waiter couldn't have been better - friendly, fast and always asking that important question "how is everything"? Small quaint setting with outstanding food!
