We were disappointed. We indicated outside on the reservation as it was meant to be romantic birthday dinner for my husband & I. We have a newborn and needed a night out. They stuck us in the back room with table on top of each other. There was a wedding party there occupying the entire outside. They should have called and told us so we didnt' drive 40 mins each way. They were using sparklers and setting the loud fire alarm off througout our dinner. Food was mediocre at best. Skip this.

I am SO GLAD I didn't listen to the snobs on this website! I was looking for a place for my wife and I to have a nice sunday brunch for our 1st anniversary, and ALMOST didnt go here because of the reviews. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! The food was decent, I have seen better spreads for less money, but it wasn't BAD. The staff was VERY friendly courteous, and attentive. They even seated us early. The atmosphere is unmatched. I am SO glad we went here, it turned out to be a wonderful afternoon.

I think they should close the place and leave well enough alone. I am appauled that this place has gone downhill so badly since the last time I visited. Has the entire staff left them? Hasn't anyone else noticed that it seems dirty and unkempt? Even the jungle that surrounds the Sundy House seems neglected and overgrown. I find the staff to be rude and unknowledgeable. I miss the way it used to be, but I won't be back to see how it ends. Goodnight Gracie.

I have eaten all over the world. This restaurant may have the worst food I have had in an (alleged) high-end restaurant. The night we were there the patrons were mostly "special occasion" parties with cameras, dressed and coiffed for a decade long passed. The garden setting is beautiful. This would be a great place if the owners fired the chef and either (1) hired a competent chef; or (2) started serving plainer, simpler fare that the kitchen (with training) might be able to prepare.

I'm very suprised to read these reviews. I was at the restaurant a week ago. I had crusted snapper(very good) . My husband had a steak. He also was very statisfied with the food and service. We also enjoyed the beaautiful garden surroundings.

I dont know what these people are talking about. I took my wife there for her birthday on Sunday and both food and service were excellant. We had the Crab Trio and calamari Tempura and for the main course Rack of lamb. All excellant and right up there with Emrils in Miami.

After reading Frommer's review we were expecting a great meal. We were thoroughly disappointed the food was lousy, the service was a bit slow, the food was overpriced. We paid over $350.00 for 4 people, no dessert, just a meal and a salad and a couple of glasses of house wine.
