The fish were terribly cut. Pieces of fish on sushi and sashimi were so hard to chew, my wife have to literally spit it out!! Tokyo Sushi made fundamental mistakes in preparing their fish. Fish properly cut should melt in the mouth; offer no resistance when chew.It is really sad that these ingredient falls into the hands of the inexperienced.

Tokyo Sushi may not be Nobu or Morimoto's (I've eaten at both), but it certainly is a good restaurant. It's not for romance or formal business but for relaxing with friends when you want sushi, rolls or sashimi with a smile. The only time I've seen slow service there is when they are bursting at the seams, with no empty tables. And think of this: many of the specialty rolls are named for their long-time customers, not something you find at a restaurant with a bad customer rapport.

I am impressed with the freshness of this restaurants fish at any day of the week as there is a steady influx of patrons. Been eating here once a week for 2 years and never had any problems. Have enjoyed the sashimi, varied rolls, seaweed salad as well as the tuna nato and not to mention the Sake bombs. Will be back and hope to see you!

The fish may have been fresh but the quantity of it was minimal. I have never seen such small pieces of sushi. I could have done with a pair of tweezers rather than chop sticks. I was not too impressed.

The sushsi was good, but not great. The service was terrible - no refills on ice tea for ten minutes or more. Our table was wedged between the kitchen and bathroom. And where is the view of the water? You can see the 17th street brdge that goes OVER the intercostal, but you can only see that from the parking lot. There is not water view. The place was noisy and crowded. We had planned on eating dinner there, but we were so disappointed, we just had sushi appetizers and then left. What was the reviewer thinking? I took my two managers - it was very embarassing to take them to such a poor restaurant.

Did your reviewer actually GO to this restaurant? How is it that you describe this restaurant as having a water view of the Intracoastal?? Did anyone go to Japanese Village on E. Las Olas Blvd. to rate this wonderful place?
