Main dishes were excellent. Appetizers were quite overpriced. Worst aspect was, surprisingly, the service. Inattentive host, unavailable wait staff, poorly coordinated meal progress. This place really pales in comparison to Darrel and Oliver's Cafe Maxx, which is such a wasted opportunity given the (relative) lack of fine cuisine in Western Broward.

Expensive, weird combinations of food. Just give me a big steak or Memphis BBQ. Wife and I went there twice, left hungry and disillusioned. Not my kinda place. In fairness, some people I work with love it and go there often. Like anything else...happiness is not transferable...so you decide.

The maitre d', Walter, is rude, rude, rude--and a lousy businessman to boot. The owners really need to let him go. That will significantly improve the atmosphere and quality. Other than that, the place is significantly overpriced for what you get. Go, if you must--but only after Walter is gone.

Very overrated. We went for a birthday and had everything from soup to desert and spent a lot of money only the have the waitress rush us to pay the bill. We had to ask several times for a refill on our coffees and the food was not worth the price. The lobster bisque was luke warm and the creme brulee was not very good. I will not go back and spend the kind of money we spent for the service and quality of food we got.

Have you been here lately? New chef, great specials, very creative and eclectic, with great old standby's on the menu. Service is great...try the Guiness Braised Beef Shortrib or the Hawaian OPA when available. Had a fabulous dinner for 10 sales professionals, great wine and hospitality. My favorite restaurant west of I95.

My company had a business dinner on East City Grill and let me tell you the food was nice, good presentation but it took foreverrrrrrrrrr to be served, everyone was like "where is the food?" we want to impress our guests but i turn to be a little shame.

My experience is the opposite of Scott's! I eat there quite often with my husband and enjoy going there with friends on the weekends. The food is delicious, well-prepared and beautifully presented. The servers are knowledgable and extremely friendly. We have our favorite dishes, but also love dishes from the Chef's Suggestions page. The wine selections complement the delicious food. We always have a great dining experience at East City!
