Have been a loyal local, but sadly disappointed last visit. Prices seemed higher than ever and drinks were expensive. Can't go wrong with their dolphin, served anyway, but they need to bring back the scorched conch, it's no longer available, just grilled or cracked. Will go back for the fish, though, its always fresh.

One of the best restaurants in town. Their fish is always fresh and delicious. Try their fish cutter - you get a generous portion of your choice of fresh fish and a delicious side. I recently heard some talk of new ownership. - That's not true. The same owners are still there. The restaurant was originally owned by two couples - one couple left and the other couple remains. Same great food and some new improvements. I've been eating at Calipsos for 17 years ..can't wait to go back.

Keep hearing about the new owners had check it out.Turns out one couple left Always loved this place for the conch which has disappeared from most restaurants Ginger dressing seemed as usual and the fritters were good. The snapper salsa verde, fried snapper with garlic and celantro sauce, excellent.Wife had grilled jerk pork tender with a lot of heat, fried plantains were good, not greasy. Key lime pie very good. Big selection of beers including Kalik from the Bahamas. We will return.

Very disappointing-this used to be such a wonderful place But with the new owenrs things have changed. The Ginger salad dressing is all garlic, no ginger taste, the Pepperpot Soup, although tasty, was very thin and the Conch Fritters were all batter, with some conch. And the prices have risen considerably - looks like the new owners are trying to cut back. Sadly we will not return

I love Calypso. Their bread pudding it the best I have ever had. When I visit Pompano the first restuarant I go to is Calypso. My sister knows when I say "Let's go out" it means "Let's go to Calypso". For more than 10 years I have frequented Calypso and never had an unsatisfactory meal. It is my favorite restuarant in South Florida.

Try the BBQ sauce that comes with the shrimp. I've had people threaten to bathe in it. This place rocks if you like fresh seafood and a casual place to eat. Its a neighborhood dive, so leave the limo at home.

Great food and little different from what is normally offered else where. Great wings to, also different from what you normally get.

Food quality is still good, but far too pricey compared to how it used to be.

The food has always been exceptional. It appears the quality both in taste and freshness is key to their success. Although they offer some of the best food in town the atmosphere and location do not command the high prices of the main menu's. The pricing seems to be a bit on the high side. I would expect those prices from one of the upscale places in Palm Beach. We will go back, we just choose the valued meals such as appetizers and the Cutters.

This is by far, Pompano's best kept secret. I love the mom and pop's feel of the place. Try the West Indies BBQ Shrimp, which is my favorite dish their. Their roti was okay for the price. Other than that, no complaints. Conch, conch and more conch! We take out of towners here all the time and they love it. Make sure to save room for the rum bread pudding- it's a piece of heaven!
