Fran's has been serving down-home Southern soul food since 1964 in a building that is a registered landmark. Go for the fried chicken and make sure to load up on homemade sides like mac-and-cheese and mashed potatoes with chicken gravy. Seating is limited, but takeout is still a good bet.
