This place is one of the best diners i have ever eaten at. the food is awesome and some the freshest seafood i have ever had. it is dirty, loud and the staff are crazy old kooks, but it is fun and the shuck the oysters right at the counter! The grilled Mahi Mahi sandwiches are great and so is the alligator tails with a mustard dipping sauce. You should go! You will not regret it.

Years ago was really a destination - certain food items were second to none. Not anymore. Quality not the same and has become pricey. For pricey you can sit at a table somewhere and be served. Also is absolutely filthy and unsanitary. Workers with dirty nails preparing food. Place needs to be cleaned up. Has become a haven for local drinkers who like to scream, curse and hang out. Not for the kids anymore.

I've been visiting S. Florida for 32 years and finally ate at Tark's for the first time two weeks ago. The food was great - fried clam bellies and curly fries - and the mixture of patrons was very diverse. Sure the place is a bit dirty and rundown, but that's the atmosphere. If that's a problem, order to take out and eat at an outside table or take it home. I only wish I'd come here sooner!

Tark's is tiny, crowded, filthy, and loud. The food is okay (my recent meal was half-cooked and fatty), but there are other places in Broward that are better and are priced about the same. If people bring kids it's best to eat outside, as the staff (although friendly), use the F-word and others freely and loudly. They will also yell at you if you get impatient while waiting, which is sometimes long. Overall, it's one of those love-it-or-hate-it type of places. Try it at least once.

This place is an absolute RIOT! The food is simple and very good. It's essentially a counter, and in need of renovation. If you're fussy, don't go (cracked vinyl on the stools, decades-old stained menus, you get the picture). The floor show from the staff and the cheeriness of the customers is wonderful. Many many items are standouts but I would like too be buried with a takout order of Buffalo Wings, one of the best dishes I've ever eaten in my life!

Tarks is by far the best place for Chicken wings I have ever been to and I have been to all the Tarks stores when they were around south florida and knew the managemant and employees.The staff was always friendly and courtesy, espically Rita, Mike and Sean. They need to re-expand again. I highly recomend this place. Rick, Plantation.

The food is Ok but this place was filthy behind the counter. My wife waited in the car while my son and I finished our food. I find better food values elsewhere.
