Great place for real style Cuban - i have been to many and "authentic" Cuban north of Miami is hard to find - this one i would recommend for Boca Raton -

The food is simply superb, and the variety of dishes makes it possible to come back frequently. The lechon asado and ropa vieja are excellent, and the much leaner vaca frita and churrasco (with chimichurra sauce) are equally delicious. Combined with the food, the pleasant atmosphere and reasonal prices make this an outstanding restaurant. The service is always very good. The staff makes you feel they are actually glad you came!

When I lived in Boca, I had lunch with colleagues at the Cuban Cafe regularly. The masas is truly fantastic, as is the rice with black beans. I now live in Boulder, Colorado and quite often think about calling these guys up and asking them to open a restaurant here in the mountains. They would never have an empty chair. Cuban cuisine just isn't generally available west of Sarasota. A great cultural dining experience. I need some cafe Cubano!

The service is very family-friendly specially when you have small kids, the staff makes you feel at home. The special of that nite was Churrasco a la Cubana, the flavor was incredible marinated 48 hours according to the manager, and charbroiled to perfection also came with a choice of soup (Caldo Gallego) or house salad. We all had the homemade sangria with fresh fruit, and to our surprise the childreens menu wich includes chicken tenders made my kids very happy, In fact now we dont have any excuses to come back with my two little picky eaters. My husband had Lechon Asado (Roast pork shredded ) although he preferd the white rice and beans on the side instead of the moros rice. The dessert was incredible, Tres Leches cake and we had cappuchino and of course the cafe cubano.

The Sun-Sentinel reviewer is crazy. This is a great restaurant. Genuine, friendly staff. EXCELLENT food.. My favorite cuban restaurant. Go out to eat Cuban food here and avoid the anti-american mess Miami has become.
