My family and I visit this park every year on our vacation. Its set up very nice, with a mixture of wildlife and vegitation. The reptile and bird show is a must see. You can learn alot about S. Florida vegitation on its tram ride around the park. You can even hand feed the flamingos very gentle in spite of their long beaks. Its inexpensive and worth the visit, my family and I reccomend it.

I have seen this place go through good and bad times. Remember this is a rehab facility (not for profit). Developement in South Fl has caused most of the animals to become permanent residents. If this facility had the same budgets as other parks, then maybe it would have more. The animals are extremely well taken care of and are in environments that are as close to nature as thier injuries will allow. Come to this park to see what should be in Florida, not what can be imported.

I took my two grandchildren and they adored the gardens like myself. Although much damage did occur during last years parade of hurricanes it really has rebuilt over the last few months. I very much recommend this it has a family friendly atmosphere and also is a romantic gettaway adventure. Although the prices are a little high it really does pay and I keep going because it is a healthy environment for myself and my family and friends.

Flamingo Gardens is a diamond in the rough. Unlike most of the other "animal attractions", Flamingo Gardens serves a true purpose. The animals are all injured or abandoned. Most of them are Florida natives. They breed and release alot of animals there. Sure, there are improvements that could be made. But I think for a non profit they are doing a very good job.

This was once a nice place to spend a day, not anymore. It feels empty and unatractive. Not to mention, it is expensive. I wouldn't recommend it.

Flamingo Gardens was around when your grandfather was a kid. It is home to Florida native animals. All these animals were injured by man, they return over 150 birds back into the wild from the injured parents. They received no help from the government to help support there breeding programs. I give Flamingo Gardens my approval, for there breed and release programs. Remember those two ladies Wilma And Katrina did a number on all the parks here in south Florida they all need our support.

Always take the out of town guests to Flamingo Gardens. And it's the only place they request a return visit to. Great tram tour. Fun & educational wild life encounter show. Great staff. A must see!

Coming from out West: Oregon, California, New Mexico,it really looked to me and all our " outwest visitors" like a typical Florida tourist trap. The kids loved the peafowl, but we have those in our own yard in Coconut Creek. Really outdated, and too commercialized. Unless you moved down here from Minnesota and need to aquaint yourself with " Tropicana".
