The Everglades is such an interesting place, especially in the Spring when the babies are in abundance. Take your camera and binoculars. Take your time and "stand still" - You'll see alot if you only look! We always go the Monday after Easter! It is now a family tradition!

Shark Valley
Tamiami Trail, west of Miami, FL
I visited Shark Valley on the last day of 2004 and I have never seen such an incredible density of wildlife on many trips to the Glades. There were dozens of alligators -- you had to veer around them as they were splayed out over the paved walkway. You can bike or take the tram here, but we enjoyed just walking along the trail.
